Leaning In, Letting Go

Regardless of what's happening in the congregation or the preacher's life, Sundays keep coming. In addition to major cultural shifts, preachers face both personal transitions (family struggles, loss) and congregational transitions (including sudden pastoral departures and planned successions). In this conversation with Joel Gregory, preaching professor at George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University, he shares about navigating challenging seasons of transition. Joel shares some personal encouragement and advice, based on his experience plus years of training preachers, on how to manage challenging moments.
