Francis Chan: Do Something Scary

Do something scary. For Jesus' sake, that is. That's Francis Chan's simple advice to help us and our people to "Experience the Holy Spirit." Of course he isn't advocating silly risk-taking for its own sake. Chan is talking about ordinary, biblical acts of obedience—like getting out of our Christian bubble and talking to our neighbors about Jesus, or like showing radical love for the world's "unlovely" people. It's when we step out in faith—even when it feels scary—that we truly need the Holy Spirit's power.

Chan's message has deeply stirred my heart this week, and I hope it challenges you as well.
