Jesus is the warrior who will bruise the head of Satan. In the sermon series The Warrior, James Merritt says, "At some point, we all wake up to the brutal realization that life is a battle, and we are in a war.

"There are no conscientious objectors to this war. Fame and fortune will not keep you out of the fight. John Daly, the PGA golfer, battles alcohol. Tiger Woods battles lust. Mike Tyson battles anger. Drew Carey, the host of "The Price Is Right," battled depression so bad that twice, before he was 20-years-old, he attempted to take his own life. The incredible Hulk battles a terrific temper.

"The truth is, we all fight our own wars, and we all face constant battles, whether it is greed, selfishness, or bitterness."

Of course, The Warrior who can give us victory in every battle is Jesus Christ. Merritt titles the three sermons in the series "The Warrior Revealed," "The Warrior Rises," and "The Warrior Returns."
