Ortberg on Prophetic Preaching

For several months our skills articles have been exploring the weighty subject of prophetic preaching, and this week we add another important prophetic voice on this topic, that of John Ortberg. John asks, "Can you really be a biblical preacher and not address what the prophets have to say?" Specifically, not address what the prophets have to say about justice? See, Preaching Like a Prophet.

If you create PowerPoint slides for your sermons, have you noticed the improvements we've made in our Images area? We overhauled the searchable data for each image so that images are found by using the same keywords used with our illustrations. We also created new filters so that you can browse these broad topics: culture, doctrine and religion, emotions and attitudes, famous people, famous places, human experiences, ideas and abstractions, movies and television, nature and living things, objects, people, places, seasons and holidays.

All searches on our site include an image search. If our database has an image on the subject you searched on, it will appear in the search results area in the second tab from the right labeled "images." Why don't you give it a try right now. Enter "debt" in the search field and hit enter. Click on the "images" tab in the search results, and there you go.
