'I'm Not Dead Yet'

According to a Variety post, Terry Gilliam died recently. Unfortunately, the article was posted by accident, and Terry Gilliam is still very much alive. Terry Gilliam is an English director and actor, most notably known for his time spent with Monty Python. Terry took the news in stride and apologized to his fans for being dead. In a Facebook post he said, "I apologize for being dead, especially to those who have already bought tickets to the upcoming talks …"

Once Variety apologized for the mistake, Twitter made the most of this error. One tweet said, "Variety has downgraded Terry Gilliam from dead to 'merely a flesh wound.'" What makes this story more funny is Terry is getting ready to publish his autobiography Gilliamesque in October and the subtitle is "pre-posthumous memoir."

Possible Preaching Angle:

It's the strange "he's dead but wait a minute he's really alive" kind of story. Have you heard it before? Probably: "We were dead in our trespasses and sins … Christ made us alive."
