Flunking a Relationship

15+6= what? For one almost-groom in India, it is the math problem that he might never recover from, after it ruined his wedding day. Lovely, the bride, having doubts at the alter about the education of her prospective spouse, asked her soon to be husband, Ram Baran, to solve the problem. His answer? 17. Lovely walked out of her own wedding. Her father commented, "The groom's family kept us in the dark about his poor education. Even a first grader can answer this."

Possible Preaching Angle:

Relationships, especially those between spouses, need to be open, honest, clear. Even if there's something about yourself that you may be ashamed of, sharing with those close to you now may be what it takes to preserve a relationship in the future. Because just ask Ram—you don't want to spend the rest of your life muttering "21 …21 … 21 …" to yourself.
