Delta's Stranded Flight Pizza Bash

We've all been on a flight that has been delayed for take-off or diverted due to storms—and that makes you a very unhappy camper. Well, this time a pilot did something about it. A Delta flight headed from Philadelphia to Atlanta had to be diverted to Knoxville because of storms in the Atlanta area. Once the plane landed in Knoxville the pilot ordered pizza for the entire flight. It was a hit. As Riley Vasquez, a passenger on the plane said on Twitter, "We are sitting on a runway stuck on a Delta flight because of weather. So they are throwing us a pizza party!"

A Delta spokesperson said that this pizza bash is "part of an effort company-wide when weather disrupts our operation to get food and beverages to delayed customers." Daniel Baker, head of Flightaware.com, noted, "A meal can go a long way to calming nerves."

Possible Preaching Angle:

Hum … sounds familiar. Where have we seen this before? Oh, wait, Jesus maybe? And maybe the church should be as winsome and hospitable as possible to her guest, too.
