Your Bill Is Paid in Full

Earlier this month, Debbie and Shaun Riddle went to the West Side Cafe in Fort Worth for lunch. The couple are regulars at the restaurant and their waitress, 21-year-old Kayla Lane, remembered them from a previous visit. Kayla enthusiastically asked the young couple, "Didn't y'all have a baby with you last time?'" Debbie and Shaun quietly told her that their baby had died in his sleep. At the end of the meal, the Riddles received a note instead of a bill that read, "Your ticket has been paid for. We are terribly sorry for your loss. God Bless." It was signed "The West Side."

An article in the Huffington Post reported, "The Facebook post soon went viral, and caught the attention of local media. A manager at the restaurant told KTVT that it had actually been Kayla herself who had paid for the meal out of her own pocket, and not the cafe's management as the note implied." Apparently Kayla has a habit of quietly paying the tab for folks that need a blessing. Kayla later wrote, "I'm humbled by this experience and thank the Riddles so much for being the wonderful people that they are and now blessing me with their friendship. I am eternally grateful."
