Simple-living Multimillionaire is Example of Delayed Gratification

Aaron Levie is not your typical multi-millionaire. He lives in a modest apartment, doesn't take holidays and, at the age of 36, says his biggest luxury is his iPhone. Yet Levie is worth an estimated $50m. With more than enough to live on for the rest of his life, why does Levie keep working brutal hours and eating canned pasta? He understands the relationship of delayed gratification, and he finds satisfaction in his work.

Levie said, ‘I work so many hours because I love what I do. I'm incredibly stimulated and excited about the business … But at the same time, I realize that you do have to have a certain level of discipline and determination to succeed in life—you have to work hard and make lifestyle sacrifices. That applies to everyone.’
