Now That's Awesome!

The actual scanning of stars for signs of intelligence is a relatively unimaginative exercise that does much less to promote knowledge of our universe. As physicist Richard Morris states, "The really intriguing question may very well be not, 'Is there other intelligent life in the universe?' but rather, 'Why is the universe so hospitable to life in the first place?'"

The Bible's answer is exactly what scientists should have come to expect: that God exercised tremendous wisdom, power, and care in forming such a perfect universe for us. Natural laws that are so precisely contrived to sustain us show his long-sighted faithfulness toward us, even in ages past. The superior intelligence that physicists recognize behind nature and its laws is called "wisdom" in the Bible.
