My 5-year-old son accompanied me to my ultrasound appointment when I was 11 weeks pregnant. As the technician pointed out the shape of the developing baby to my son, she kept referring to the position of the fetus. After some thought my son asked, "If that's where the feet is, where's the rest of the baby?"
