Check, Please!

My mother volunteered to help me with my wedding invitations while I visited her and my father in North Carolina. We spent two long nights addressing envelopes and adding a handwritten note to each invitation, "Please stay for dinner following the ceremony."

When I got back home, I realized I hadn't sent an invitation to my parents. Before putting it in the mail, I personalized it with a note at the bottom: "Please pay for dinner following the ceremony."
