The 15 Best Practices for Preaching

So what's on your list? If you had to distill the top 15 things you've learned (or are learning) about preaching what would you say? This week we offer one take on these questions from a young church planter in Chicago. In this week's FREE skills article, he writes that he's been, "scouring resources on preaching, pumping feedback out of people, and doing my best to adapt. [In the process], I've made a list of the best practices that have worked for me." It's a fun collection of preaching wisdom with connections to great resources to help you grow as a preacher.

Now, we'd like to know what you think. Read the article and answer these questions:

  • What would you include on your list of Best Practices for Preaching?
  • What's the best piece of preaching advice that you've heard recently and who did you hear it from?

We'd love to hear from you and tweet your best practices. So send them my way at mwoodley@christianitytoday.com.

This week we also feature:
