Dogs, Doritos, and a Daring Plan

During the 2016 Super Bowl, Doritos got us rooting for the underdog—literally. The "Doritos Dog" ad, a piece of amateur filmmaking that won its creators a million dollars, depicts the harrowing saga of three dogs that just want to get their Doritos from the grocery store. But a sign on the door says "no dogs allowed." So again and again, they're chased away by the store manager. Eventually, they're able to win their cheesy, crunchy reward through the most elaborate scheme of all: dressing like a human.

Possible Preaching Angle:

It's funny, it's heartwarming, and we can't help feeling a sense of satisfaction when these dogs finally reach their goal. But think about it: how many of us view the kingdom of heaven in a way similar to how these dogs view their Doritos? We sometimes think we have to work so hard in order to be accepted, to be worthy of our reward. But thankfully, that's where grace comes in.
