This one is just too hilarious (and human) to pass up. Okay, it's a story about a rat, but this guy (or gal) sure reminds me of us. DNAinfo noted a recently uploaded 14-second YouTube video of a rat hauling an entire slice of pizza down a subway-station staircase. In GIF form, you'll notice the slice is almost twice the rat's size, but he manages to drag it down at least four steps. As New York magazine reports, "He appears poised to complete the descent and return to his squalid rat hole with his unnecessarily large prize—an inspiring demonstration of the grit and determination one needs to make it in New York City.

But if you take 14 seconds to watch the entire video, you'll find that the rat abandons the pizza on the third-to-last stair. After a long, mournful look, he scampers away." Dude, you came so close! You had grit, you had determination, you just needed a little perseverance. Anyway, it's an epic but then tragic tale with a clear moral: don't be a rat; stick with your pizza slice.
