Paying Attention: The Secret of Life
Comic artist Grant Snider recently illustrated the "secret of life." In a nine-panel cartoon a young man walks around with a notebook looking for the secret to life. Everywhere he finds what he calls clues—spring flowers bursting through the snow, the moon shining through tree branches, a flock of geese in V-formation flying overhead, and so forth. Finally, the young seeker exclaims that all of these clues point to a secret too simple to mention: “Pay attention.”
