"Then Satan Will Not Win. He Will Not Win."
Many of you will recall that a little over a year ago, on March 8, 2009, Fred Winters, pastor for 22 years at First Baptist Church in Maryville, Illinois, was shot dead during a worship service. One year later, his wife, Cindy, stood before the congregation and shared her journey since that terrible day. A powerful look at hope in seemingly hopeless times, peace in what was once overwhelming chaos, determination in the midst of utter confusion. Cindy recalls God speaking very clearly to her that Satan had orchestrated the event, so she responded aloud, "Then Satan will not win. He will not win."
