I knew I would learn how to preach from Haddon, but what I didn't know is I would learn how to love.

Thanks for this wonderful tribute.
I WAS BLESSED TO HAVE STUDIED UNDER DR. ROBINSON AS A STUDENT AT DALLAS SEMINARY IN THE LATE 60's/EARLY 70's. I HAD HEARD OF MANY OF THE OTHER PROFESSORS THERE BEFORE I ATTENDED (RYRIE, WALVOORD,PENTECOST, ETC.), BUT HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS IN STORE FOR ME WITH THE CLASSES HE TAUGHT ON HOMILETICS. HE WAS A DELIGHT FOR ANYONE WHO LOVED GOD'S WORD AND GOD'S PEOPLE!

I was Pres. of CMDA,USA when Haddon was our Gen.Dir. In Jan.of 1978 I was flying with a very sick CMDA Staff member from Liberia to NYC. We were delayed hours in Senegal waiting for permission to continue to snow-blocked NYC. I thought the sick man might die in that airport while we waited. He survived. When I arrived home & called Haddon to report the situation he said "So now I know why God woke me to pray for John when I had no knowledge of his need." God certainly helped Haddon love us all.
Haddon Robinson truly lived out his faith by doing the greatest thing! Thanks for sharing your experience. Very encouraging!
