Text: Ephesians 5:3

Topic: How to order our sexual lives as God designed

Introduction:

However you define lust, it is one of the most destructive sins.

Biblical warnings about the misuse of sex must be heeded, but that doesn't mean God hates sex.

The Bible presents sex as a gift from God.

Genesis 2:24—25

Proverbs 5:18

Satisfaction with your spouse makes you less vulnerable to sexual sin.

Sexuality outside of God's design is destructive.

Illustration: Sexual sin will always take us further than we intended to play, keep us longer than we intended to stay, and cost more than we're willing to pay.

Illustration: Family's pet mountain lion killed their child.

2 Corinthians 10:5

Women tend to respond emotionally; men visually.

You can avoid sexual sin by guarding your heart.

You do the right thing no matter how you feel.

Husbands love your wives for who they are today.

Parent must set boundaries for their children.

Conclusion:

Put up some protective barriers in your life.

Even if you have crossed the boundaries, there is forgiveness.
