Why do you offer sermons on PreachingToday.com?
We present sermons on our site for four reasons:
- To serve as models of outstanding preaching from which other preachers can learn.
- To feed the preacher's soul. We regularly hear from preachers how much our sermons inspire them personally.
- To inspire creative thinking. Hard-working, creative preachers are looking for the raw materials that feed their wisdom and creativity. They are not looking for sermons to preach; they are looking for catalytic ideas for how to connect with contemporary thinking and culture.
- To be a kind of preachers' commentary. Excellent sermons provide sound theology and biblical interpretation, as well as sermon application that reflects astute exegesis of our culture and of the human heart.
